Stress needs yogurt

Having a bad day at work? The kids driving you nuts? Well it might be time to crack open a tub of yogurt instead of reaching for some other comfort food.

New research says that stomach problems associated with stress were reliefed when people were given a probiotic supplement. Probiotics are available in almost half the yogurts that are sitting on the shlves in your grocery store.

The study ran for three weeks with 754 people. Half were given the supplement with probiotics and the other half received a placebo. After three weeks the people receiving the supplement reported less nausea and abdominal pain. Other common stress induced symptoms were still present so you could conclude that the supplement did aid this one area.
